For its 9th edition on Berkeley Square, PAD London broadens its offering with the arrival of 13 new international galleries, adding fresh perspectives to its rich historical panorama of art and design.

This year Asian and Islamic art come under the spotlight. Contemporary Chinese ink painting, still little known in Asia and the West, makes its first appearance with the participation of Michael Goedhuis (UK/China/USA), an authority on the subject.

In the first auctions the category to take place at 30 Berkeley Square, Phillips April Design Sales totalled £8,641,000 (comfortably in the middle of their estimated total of £6.7-9.9m ) selling 87% by value and 77% by lot.

The exhibition attracted three times as many visitors compared to the previous Design auctions in September 2014.
