Now that we have finally come to the end of editing all of our videos taken during this year’s Milan Design Week, we thought we would pull out some highlights for you – in case you missed them the first time round.
We were honoured to welcome legendary Italian designer Aldo Cibic to our TV studio in Milan.
Widely recognised as one of the founding members of Memphis, Cibic talks with Max Fraser about his experiences with Memphis, his thoughts on the economy, and his feelings on where he thinks the design world should head next.
Through an exploration into the natural effects of material forces, German designer Kai Linke produced ‘Deformation: It wasn’t me’, a collection of objects which highlight the life and beauty of imperfection.
An important and early work, the Genoa desk examines the notion of implied movement, layering and juxtaposition.
By manipulating the movement of the forms, this work examines the relationship of surfaces, promoting a gut response to the juxtaposition of dynamic elemental forms; creating a static moment of suspended action, frozen from a manual of folds.
Philadelphia-based designer/maker Jack Larimore has come up with a beautiful collection of furniture made from salvaged timber acquired from old Philadelphia Structures.
Artist and writer, David Coggins talks with German designer Konstantin Grcic about how he sees the world of design.
Discussing everything from the beauty of imperfections, the genius in not knowing everything, and the new role of the designer, Grcic ends by offering a bit of insight into his ultimate dream of (re)designing a bicycle.

This is your last chance to check out the first major survey in London of the internationally renowned architect in more than 20 years.

Milan-based designer Marc Sadler talks with Max Fraser at our TV studio in Milan.
Offering some insight into his approach to design, Sadler discusses his latest work and his extreme love for research and development, technology and new materials.
