The Good Design Manifesto, created by designer Richard Shed, is a collection of 100 brief responses from industry experts to the question "what is good design?" The 100 responses from the Good Design Manifesto were integrated into 100% Design London 2008.

(DE)light is Cristina Ferraz's most recent work which attempts to challenge our concept of light by reinterpreting the key components of light, lamp and bulb.

The project by RCA graduate Ferraz, explores the notion of freeing light from its solid exterior and bringing it back to its intangible essence.

Design September Brussels

This month the city of Brussels will be celebrating its first design festival by showcasing works from over a hundred designers and architects working both within Belgium and abroad.

Design September will bring together furniture, lighting, industrial, graphic, food and landscape design with more than 50 events taking place during its three week run.

Creating objects that have the ability to transcend their utilitarian purpose and affect users on a more personal level is one of the main motivations behind Jennifer Anderson's work, Material Series.

As one of Anderson's more experimental projects, the Series is comprised of five identical chairs made from five different materials: wood, mud, grass, wax, and bronze.

Pop Up Store at the Foundry

For the festival this year, Foundry and partners will be converting an industrial warehouse into a gallery-like shopping space for visitors to buy some of the world's most exclusive design brands.

For a short period of time, the venue will operate as a 'pop - up' retail store and will be accompanied by a one-off design showcase.
