Jeremy Deller has created a life-size bouncy castle version of Stonehedge, entitled Sacrilege that will be touring the UK this summer as a part of the London 2012 Festival and the Mayor of London Surprises Program.

From the 12th through the 17th of June Design Miami/ set up camp in Basel. Bringing together 35 galleries from around the world, the fair boasted a record number of attendees - 22,000 up from 20,500 in 2011.

In contrast to this peacockery, we have Depot Basel - a design platform that brings together contemporary crafts people and designers to open a space for dialogue as well as appreciation for design - whether it be collectible or visually pleasing.

The collection by French designer and interior architect Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance Naturoscopie is one of the pieces that manages to stand out amongst the sea of work.

This year's Design Maimi/ Basel brought out the best in design galleries from around the world. One which stood out most to us at DeTnk was the presentation of Jean Prouvé's Métropole Aluminium presented by Galerie Patrick Seguin.

The NoMad Hotel is housed in a turn-of-the-century Beaux-Arts building that has been fully restored to its original grandeur with interiors by French designer Jacques Garcia.

The venue for Royal College of Art show 'Paradise' in Ventura Lambrate this past year in Milan left a lot to be desired. Despite being in such an uninspired, uncomfortable setting the work of RCA students elevated the mood and at times made the dreary surroundings irrelevant. One such work was 'Making Money in Milan' by Nic Wallenberg, Sam Weller and Petter Thörne.

Despite news of Britain entering a double-dip recession Phillips de Pury London announces that they have had the " most successful Design sale to date." With sales totalling £4,658,800 ($7,540,734) and selling 91% by value and 79% by lot, this sale is definitely a landmark in the collectible design market.
