The 2019 Chicago architectural biennial which is spread over roughly 40 venues, aims to serve as a hub for different and great ideas. Unlike previous iterations there is no single focus driving the event. Rather, there are 4 distinct themes behind the exhibition, “no land beyond”, “appearances and erasures”, “rights and reclamation” and “common ground”.
