If you happen to be in London this weekend, and are looking for something to do, why not take a stroll down to Bedford Square to check out this year’s Architectural Association’s Summer Pavilion.

Unveiled today, the competition-winning installation, Driftwood, is the fourth in the annual AA Summer Pavilion series.

Based on a concept by 3rd year AA student Danecia Sibingo and a team including Lyn Hayek, Yoojin Kim, and Taeyoung Lee, the Pavilion is neither art nor architecture, science nor ecological adventure, but a sculptural installation which embraces invention, experimentation, new materials and aesthetic intelligence.
