2012 marks a banner year for Wendell Castle, Americaʼs foremost sculptural-furniture artist. Now in his 80th year, Castle is being celebrated for his over half-century of iconic work and his indefatigable investigations within the realm of furniture design.
Commissioned by a private collector, “Souvenir of the last century” is a collection of memories up-cycled into new physical forms. Created from: iron, a deconsecrated marble altar, plywood, iron pipe, and burners "Souvinir of the Last Century explores materials, experiences and points of references, both fragile, lost and strong.
Hedge Gallery presents new sculpture by artist Tony Marsh, whose exhibition entitled Echo is comprised of twelve ceramic works which propose a contemporary point of view in relationship to the deep, rich, pan-cultural traditions and assorted histories in ceramic art from which Marsh’s work is inspired.
