As an attempt to raise awareness of the importance of FSC certification, The Nature Conservancy and Forest Stewardship Council are sponsoring a sustainable design competition which challenges industrial designers, furniture designers and architects to design an original object made from a single sheet of FSC-certified plywood measuring 4-feet x 8-feet x 1-inch.
This work is from a series of unique lamps commissioned by Moss, New York; fewer than thirty examples were produced. Created in two sizes, some of the lamps create a small symphony of sounds when touched, while others silently glow.
